Well, so much for heading to Miami for FUN(d)-RAISING.
The Care+AIR Health Communications car got rear-ended. It's not going ANYWHERE.
Its basic Public Health reminder about not getting into other people's personal space and business and thinking for oneself when out-and-about in crowds or in-public feels VERY ironic now:
That crushed orange bouncy ball in the upper right is all that is left of our inflatable Salk spherical virus. All of the air was crushed out of it in the impact.
The bike was miraculously saved, along with some of the educational exhibits. The car itself was totally destroyed. We are brainstorming about maybe renting a trailer, instead of driving to concerts and events. Thankfully, the Executive Director was not seriously injured.
Her response to the accident, 4 weeks later?
When I said I haven't exercised much and needed to "get rid of the junk in my trunk", this was NOT what I had in mind!
We'll have to think of another way to get rid of your spare tires.....oops, I mean spare CHANGE, this holiday season, since we can't drive to big social events anymore.
